Director/Producer/Photographer

I’m Bea del Pozo, a filmmaker and storyteller born and raised in León, Spain, now based in Los Angeles. From a young age, I was drawn to stories, the kind that made me feel seen, the kind that stayed with me long after they ended. Movies were my first love, and over time, they became the way I understood the world and my place in it.

I studied Journalism and Cinema in Spain before transferring to a university in New York, where I fell in love with screenwriting, cinematography, and directing. It was there that I realized filmmaking wasn’t just something I wanted to do. It was something I needed to do. Telling stories felt like coming home.

My work is rooted in emotion. I gravitate toward subtle moments, quiet chaos, and all the things people don’t say out loud. I explore themes of love, identity, grief, and longing, often through deeply personal and intimate lenses. I believe there is power in stillness and vulnerability, and that the most meaningful stories are often found in the ordinary.

Outside of film, I’m endlessly inspired by music, live performances, and photography. Concerts are my happy place, and I’m fascinated by the raw energy of capturing fleeting moments, whether it’s on stage or through the lens of a camera.

I care about visual storytelling, but even more than that, I care about emotional truth. My goal is always the same: to make people feel. Whether it’s through a scene, a character, or a single frame, I want my work to connect on a human level. To say, in some way, you’re not alone.

Filmmaking for me is not just a career. It’s how I process the world, how I make sense of heartbreak and beauty, and how I communicate when words aren’t enough. I create because I have to, because there are stories that live in me until I let them out.
